Chain Gang
Recently I purchased a beautiful Givenchy Infinity Bag from a designer consignment shop, Refind, located here in Seattle. The bag is a gorgeous burgundy with a thick, silver-toned Cuban link chain up each side. The chain detail is what caught my eye in the shop, and I loved that it added an edgy feel to the classic bucket bag shape.

After that I seemed to be tending towards chain details on other fall items. From flats to jewelry, the chunky chain has a modern feel that elevates the piece it is embellishing. Here are a few of my favorites for this fall and into winter.
No.21 Chain-Embellished Derby Shoes |
Alexander Wang Chain Trim Turtleneck Sweater |
Deborah Pagani Patent Leather Hair Clips |
If you want just a little bit of edgy style, these Deborah Pagani patent leather hair clips are fabulous. They come in two sizes of black patent with a choice of four different chain colors. So cool. $45 and $65 for small and large, respectively.
Ted Baker London Eloda Cardigan |
A simple cream cardigan gets an update! The Ted Baker London Eloda Cardigan has a cropped body and open front and walks the line between ladylike and rock-n-roll with its chain link edges.
Jenny Bird Toni Drop Earrings |
Saint Laurent Monogram Tassel Chain Belt |
This Monogram Tassel Chain Belt by Saint Laurent is on my wish list. It's like a modern chatelaine belt, just less practical with a lot more style.
Layer up your chain link collection or find a piece that is embellished with one to add a dash of edgy chic to your look. Whether you are ZOOMing at home or around the city, it is an easy way to give your look a modern vibe.
Happy hunting!
