Recently I purchased a beautiful Givenchy Infinity Bag from a designer consignment shop, Refind, located here in Seattle. The bag is a gorgeous burgundy with a thick, silver-toned Cuban link chain up each side. The chain detail is what caught my eye in the shop, and I loved that it added an edgy feel to the classic bucket bag shape.

After that I seemed to be tending towards chain details on other fall items. From flats to jewelry, the chunky chain has a modern feel that elevates the piece it is embellishing. Here are a few of my favorites for this fall and into winter.

Alexander Wang added chain trim that gives drama and polish to this turtleneck sweater, above. I really love the cool balloon sleeve on this sweater, and other pieces from this collection include a midi dress and a split cuff top. No need for jewelry with these cool details.

If you want just a little bit of edgy style, these Deborah Pagani patent leather hair clips are fabulous. They come in two sizes of black patent with a choice of four different chain colors. So cool. $45 and $65 for small and large, respectively.

Jenny Bird Toni Drop Earrings

You can find lots of chunky chain link bracelets, chokers and necklaces out there, I like to look for vintage finds, myself, however, this pair of Jenny Bird Toni Drop Earrings in silver plate are perfect. If I am wearing my chain link necklace I layer it up with pearls and longer chains to give it texture and dimension.
